The Copenhague Collection
Furniture designs commissioned by specific institutions have a long tradition in Scandinavia. The Copenhague collection was developed in 2013 by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec in cooperation with Hay on behalf of the University of Copenhagen, and features a chair and a set of tables for different areas: The Copenhague Table CPH30 is suitable for working for several people, while the Copenhague Round Table CPH20 was developed especially for the canteen and lounge area. According to the requirements of a university, the furniture of the Copenhague Collection is practical, ergonomic and functional. They are all stackable and, thanks to their simplicity, fit harmoniously into any environment. Unlike many other furniture designed for educational institutions, the Copenhague Collection does not have anything rigorous or formal about it. Whether in institutional rooms or living spaces - noble woods, exquisite colours and a thoroughly playful design create a warm, homely atmosphere.
