Asco – Solid wood tables from a Westphalian Manufactory
Asco’s corporate philosophy is based on durable furniture that transcends short-lived trends. Asco combines contemporary design with functionality, comfort and high-quality craftsmanship. Sustainable thinking, the responsible use of resources and the fusion of current design trends with traditional values characterise the brand’s work. As a classic Westphalian manufacturer, Asco produces all its furniture locally. The pieces are precision-crafted, bespoke items with a high degree of individuality and are regarded as durable, personal, one-of-a-kind pieces.
Asco was founded in 1998 by Gerd Alfers in Rheda-Wiedenbrück, East Westphalia, and has since been synonymous with high-quality designer tables made from solid wood. Since 2019, Asco has been closely associated with the seating manufacturer KFF. Both companies see themselves as sister companies that complement each other conceptually – much like a table and a chair. The managing director of both brands is Jens Lewe, whilst the owner of Asco is Karl Friedrich Förster.

Asco Designer Tables: Design, Materials and Furniture Collections
Asco specialises in high-quality tables with an architectural character. Asco furniture is precision-engineered, features perfectly balanced proportions and exudes a contemporary appeal.
The range includes dining tables, side tables, lounge tables, bar tables and bistro tables, all of which are characterised by their high-quality design and versatility. Many models can be customised and are available in a variety of shapes, sizes and finishes.
Asco uses only carefully selected materials such as solid wood, natural stone, steel, concrete and ceramics. The main woods used are oak, ash, elm and walnut, whilst tropical woods are strictly excluded; the wood is sourced exclusively from European regions and the USA.
Particular attention is paid to the wood finishes. Various stains and finishes create an intriguing interplay of light and shadow, which emphasises the natural grain and transforms the surface itself into a design feature within the room.
Among the best-known table models and collections are the Aereo, Forte and Tercio dining tables, as well as the extensive Lamello and Mono ranges.

The Asco Design Philosophy
As well as its in-house design team, Asco collaborates with external designers. Among the most prominent names are Monica Armani and Dolf and Max Langemann. The designs combine Scandinavian influences with architectural references and materials rich in character. Rather than chasing passing trends, the result is furniture characterised by enduring design, high-quality materials and a understated presence.
Typical of Asco is the combination of:
► precision craftsmanship
► functional design
► the cosy feel of the materials
► architectural clarity
► timeless aesthetics
The furniture combines high-quality materials with timeless design and is built to last.
