Michael Geertsen
The Stensved based ceramicist Michael Geertsen graduated from the prestigious Danish Academy of Fine Arts (School of Design) in 1993, and is more of an artist than a designer: Geertsen works with galleries in New York and Copenhagen, and his works are featured in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum, the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum, and the Museum of Arts and Design New York. In addition to collections in the UK and Denmark. However, with the Dogu lamp for Lightyears by Fritz Hansen, Michael Geertsen has also proven to be an excellent product designer.
