Berlin designer Mark Braun is one of the most exciting voices in German design. His designs combine precision craftsmanship with a clear, contemporary design language - always with a keen sense of material, function and cultural context. Born in 1975 in Gehrden, Braun initially trained as a carpenter before studying industrial design in Potsdam, Eindhoven and Halle. in 2006, he founded his own studio in Berlin, which today stands for a design signature that combines precision, emotion and suitability for everyday use.

Mark Braun's clients include brands such as Thonet, Nomos Glashütte, Lobmeyr, Northern and E15. With the Metro watch for Nomos, Braun created a piece of modern design history - honoured with numerous awards such as the Red Dot, iF Design Award and the German Design Award. In addition to industrial products, Braun's studio also creates limited editions and unique pieces that have been shown in galleries in London, Paris and Zurich. As a professor at the HBKsaar, Braun passes on his knowledge to the next generation of designers - with the same passion with which he develops new designs.

Mark Braun's style is minimalist, but never cool: an invitation to see and use things consciously. This is also evident in the Next mobile pedestal that he designed for Müller Möbelfabrikation - functional, precise, focussed on the essentials.
