Hanspeter Steiger

Born in 1970 Hanspeter Steiger started his design career as a cabinetmaker, a training and experience he put to excellent use with his wooden chair Torsio for Röthlisberger. His formal design training came at the School of Design Basel, the National College of Art Oslo and at the Danish Design School in Copenhagen, where Hanspeter Steiger sharpened his design skills and developed his personal design philosophy. Since 2001, Hanspeter Steiger has operated his own office for product and interior design in Zurich, and has realised numerous various lighting designs in addition to interior design projects for hotels, restaurants, and private customers.
