Signe Hytte - Poetic clarity in design

Danish designer Signe Hytte, based in Copenhagen, is inspired by culture, art and stories - not by short-term trends or technology. Her work combines artistic flair with functional design and tells its own stories through form, Material and light.

Signe Hytte studied at Aarhus University and TEKO Design and Business School in Denmark. She was Head of Design at the Danish furniture brand &Tradition and then founded her own design studio.

In her work, she places great emphasis on details and the emotional impact of objects: Each project is an expression of a feeling, a dream or an idea, and one of Hytte's trademarks is her playful and poetic approach to geometry and form. Her Journey lighting collection for &Tradition is based on clear basic shapes such as spheres and rectangles. The Journey table and floor lamps not only create lighting, but also lead to a sensual lighting experience through their design and Materials.

Signe Hytte's design follows a clear claim: reduced, meaningful and close to everyday life. It's about objects that you like to look at - and live with.
