Tomoya Tabuchi

Born in 1974 in Tochigi, Japan, designer Tomoya Tabuchi studied living design at the Kuwasawa Design School in Tokyo until 1997. The renowned design school was founded in the early 1950s and, as with the functionalists in Europe, tried to respond innovatively to the economic challenges of the post-war period. Following his graduating Tabuchi worked for a Japanese furniture company in the areas of planning, product design and product developmnet, and with this practical experience and the legacy of the Kuwasawa Design School, Tomoya Tabuchi was well equipped to set up his own design studio in 2010 under the name Office for Creation. And quickly found success: in 2011 the Japanese furniture manufacturer Interiors launched Tabuchi's first commercial design - the Tee Table. Today the Office for Creation is not only active in the field of product design, Tabuchi also realizes projects as a graphic designer and art director, furniture remains a focus and Tabuchi has cooperated with a wide roster of international manufacturers including Viccarbe, Systemtronic, Interiors and Lapalma, for whom the tables Fork P124/127/128 were created.
