Thomas Kühl & Andreas Krob
The German industrial designers Thomas Kühl and Andreas Krob jointly designed the standing table Notos for Classicon. Thomas Kühl was born in 1967 in Rendsburg and completed a carpentry apprenticeship before studying industrial design. Active as freelance designer in Hamburg since 1996, he has countless well-known customers, including Thonet, Rolf Benz, Lion, Schöner Wohnen, Classicon or FontanaArte. Andrea Krob was born in Niebüll, Northern Germany in 1969. After studying civil engineering, he studied Industrial design alongside Thomas Kühl at the Muthesius College of Art and Design in Kiel before moving on to work as a freelance consultant for Thonet, Röder Haworth, Provenda, and Sitag, and subsequently took on various positions in international research and development companies. Together with his wife Uta Krob, he founded the Swiss-based design company B4K. Also well known is the chair Champ, which he designed together with Joachim Brüske.
