Flemming Lassen

The Danish architect and designer Flemming Lassen completed a stonemason apprenticeship before studying architecture and subsequently working in various architectural offices. In 1929 Flemming Lassen and Arne Jacobsen won the Danish Architects Association "House of Future" competition and shortly afterwards the pair joined forces and established a joint architectural office. Amongst Flemming Lassen's most famous buildings is Søllerød town hall, a work he co-designed with his friend and colleague Arne Jacobsen. In addition to the the building Flemming Lassen also created the the noble Mayor Sofa - a work currently in production through Danish brand &tradition
