Viola Heyn-Johnsen & Jonas Trampedach

The Danish designer duo Viola Heyn-Johnsen & Jonas Trampedach combine minimalist design with artisanal precision and a strong focus on materials and manufacturing techniques. Their first collaborative project is the Parade Portable table lamp for Hay – a sculptural battery-operated lamp that combines distinctive aesthetics with unbeatable functionality.

Viola Heyn-Johnsen holds a Master's degree in Visual Communication coupled to 15 years of experience in graphic design, styling, and product development. Jonas Trampedach, born in Copenhagen in 1974 as the son of artist Kurt Trampedach, studied industrial design at the Royal College of Art in London and founded his own studio in Copenhagen in 2010. Jonas Trampedach and his studio specialise in products, furniture, and lighting, with designs ranging from industrially produced designs to one-off pieces. He has collaborated with brands such as Ikea, Frama, Fredericia Furniture, Karakter, and Arco. In 2016, he was awarded the Silver Medal of the Danish Art Crafts Prize, along with Birgitte Due Madsen.
