Design Story
The USM Haller metal shelf for USM Haller units is designed to complement the USM Haller collection. With the USM shelf individual elements can be extended in their functionality, and the visual appearance of the object altered. Developed in the early 1960s by Paul Schärer and Fritz Haller the universal USM modular furniture system enjoys worldwide popularity and is a recognised design classic. The variety of the USM program is achieved by the interaction of the component steel tubes, connectors and metal panels and by the wide range of functional accessories offered by the Swiss manufacturer.
