About Lukas Heintschel
Lukas Heintschel is a German designer based in Munich, where he founded his own design studio in 2021. Prior to this, he studied product design at Munich University of Applied Sciences and took part in the support programme run by the Strascheg Centre for Entrepreneurship, an incubator for students, start-ups and businesses.
His design approach combines conceptual, unconventional thinking with minimalist, architectural forms and playful details. His designs often have a narrative quality and are aimed at evoking an emotional response. Products should not only be functional, but also convey stories and build a personal connection with the user.
Heintschel regards light – much like form, material, texture and Colours – as a design dimension in its own right. It enables him to create an atmosphere and enhance objects both visually and emotionally. For example, his L10 TWN rechargeable lamp appears cool and geometric when unlit, but takes on a warm and poetic quality when illuminated.
For brands such as Tecta, Auerberg and Cor Heintschel develops products that stand out thanks to their clear contrasts and great design depth. His work has received international accolades and has been showcased at major design platforms and trade fairs such as Milan Design Week, IMM Pure Talents and 3Days of Design.
