Please note: If your desired Akari lamp is not currently in stock, we are unfortunately unable to tell you a specific delivery time. Due to the difficult circumstances on the world market regarding the procurement of raw materials and stagnating supply chains, as well as the fact that the Akari lamps are handmade in Japan by only a few specialists, waiting times of several months can unfortunately occur. If in doubt, please ask our friendly service team about availability before buying to avoid disappointment.

The Akari YP1 hanging lamp belongs to the popular Akari Light Sculptures collection and is distributed by Vitra. The American-Japanese designer Isamu Noguchi designed from 1951 onwards more than 100 Akari pendant, table and floor lamps, to which he was inspired during a trip through Japan. All Akaris are handmade in a traditional production process, and in each of the Akari design lamps, the artistic handwriting of the designer Isamu Noguchi can be seen, so act numerous Akaris like sculptures, which convey lightness due to their shades made of Japanese Washi paper. The product series opens up innumerable combination possibilities and, with its pleasantly harmonious light, creates an atmospheric ambience.
