Big Ideas

Big Ideas was established in 2014 as part of the Bjarke Ingels Group, "Big" for short, a group of architects, designers and builders based in New York and Copenhagen, and who are active in the fields of architecture, urban planning, research and development. Under the leadership of Jakob Lange Big Ideas combines technology and product design, with the aim of developing innovative prototypes and products for the construction industry. The focus is on future-oriented projects with the expertise to look outside the box of architecture, to conduct independent research and to develop new materials. In addition to major projects such as the design of the extension of the Battersea Power Station in London, the company has already developed numerous light designs, including the Keglen pendant light for Louis Poulsen. The collaboration between Big Ideas and the renowned Danish manufacturer began with the design of a lamp for the Tirpitz Museum in Blåvand.
