The Mikado chair from Vitra is a role model in terms of sustainability and impresses with its filigree construction and clear lines. The ergonomically shaped seat ensures a high level of comfort and allows you to sit comfortably for long periods of time. The customisable chair consists of a series of individual parts, some of which have already been recycled, which can be easily separated for replacement or disposal. This means that the life of the modular chair can outlast that of its individual parts.

Sustainability | The construction of the Mikado is designed from the basis of individual components up to make disposing of or replacing the individual parts as easy as possible. The covers are not glued and can be removed, the seat plate and backrest can be easily separated from the upholstery. The fact that almost all components are replaceable makes the Mikado a chair whose lifespan is longer than that of its individual parts. In addition, some components are made from recycled materials, such as the seat support made from aluminium with a high recycling content or the back shell made from 100% recycled polypropylene (from packaging waste). |
