The seat cushion for the Drop chair from Fritz Hansen was developed for the teardrop shaped classic by Arne Jacobsen and complements it perfectly. The special shape of the designer chair is reflected in the cushion, and thus it both increases comfort and protects from scratches. The carpenter Fritz Hansen began in 1872 to build up his business in Copenhagen, and started to market his own furniture in 1885. In its long company history the Danish furniture manufacturer have cooperated with numerous international designers, although the one with fellow Dane Arne Jacobsen was particularly successful and established the company's reputation and global success.
