Hans Bølling designed the characteristic wooden figures Optimist & Pessimist in 1959, based on two opposing characters. The pessimist with his sad look hangs his head, while the optimist presents his biggest smile. The movable arms allow for an even greater range of visual expression. Architectmade produce the classic figures, as ever, by hand.
