Designed by Erwan Bouroullec for Vitra the Mynt chair, with its built-in and patented mechanism, creates optimal seating and maintains body balance. Thanks to its simple and timeless design Mynt is suitable for both the office and home. The chair offers even greater comfort with optional upholstery for the seat and backrest that is available in a variety of fabrics.

Assembly Mynt is designed for a long lifecycle. Its upholstery and castors can be replaced or renewed by the user. The seat, backrest, and gas spring must however be replaced by a professional.

Care The upholstery elements can be removed via a zip and cleaned or replaced.

A soft, damp cloth and a mild, neutral detergent are recommended to clean the plastic surfaces.
Sustainability Veneer
For every type of wood used in a Vitra product a supplier declaration is required certifying compliance with the European Timber Regulation (EUTR). Vitra also pays attention to the sustainability of its sources. The wood materials Vitra uses such as particleboard, are made from leftovers from the wood, construction and furniture industries.

Recycled Plastic
Recycled polyamide from post-industrial waste, which is 100% recyclable, is used for the Mynt seat and back shells. Post-industrial plastics are waste materials generated during manufacturing processes, for example, in the automotive industry. They have excellent flow properties, enable the production of complex shapes and glossy surfaces, and are food-safe. Vitra primarily uses post-consumer plastics. If post-consumer plastic is not suitable for a particular product Vitra will consider whether a post-industrial recycled material could be a possible alternative, with preference given to post-industrial waste from its own production facilities.

V-Foam
V-Foam, jointly developed by Vitra and BASF, is the world's first economically recyclable polyurethane foam. Thanks to a new process it can be 100% recycled. It is converted into a new polyol in an energy-efficient process, returned to the material cycle, and can then be used for new products. Starting in 2025 Vitra will gradually use V-Foam for all Vitra furniture with moulded foam upholstery.
