The spring balanced table lamp by Midgard is a desk lamp classic. Utilising a spring tension parallelogram arm design, a system perfected by the German engineer Curt Fischer, the light head can be individually aligned as required: thus the Midgard lamp is perfect for focused work at the desk. Convinced of its advantages, Bauhaus director Walter Gropius also worked under such a light.
