Natural ageing or eternal shine
Cleaning and maintenance of Gloster furniture and lanterns
As with all garden furniture which remains in the open and thus exposed to environmental influences, the Cocoon Lantern be thoroughly cleaned at least once a year. In addition a monthly cleaning will ensure that despite regular use your lantern retains its good looks. We also advise you to store the Lantern luminaire indoors during the winter months. For regular maintenance and in case of light soiling we recommend using a solution of warm water and a mild detergent.
When teak ages naturally outdoors it takes on a soft, silver-grey hue. In such case, it is sufficient to treat your Gloster furniture once or twice a year with "Teak Cleaner." Polished teak in indoor situations can be refreshed with regular cleaning. The surface structure and a rich colour scheme remain in polished teak - outdoors however this ages as with untreated surfaces. The "Teak Protector" from, Gloster protects your teak furniture out of doors from from water, beverage and food residues. Should you wish to retain the golden brown teak structure it is recommended to treat your furniture with Gloster "Teak Sealer". All Gloster care products can be ordered from smow.
