Fifty years ago Paul Schärer and Fritz Haller developed the USM universal furniture system, a system which allows for the construction of shelving units ranging from small sideboards to multi-layer room high units. The variety of possibilities the system allows is a consequence of the endlessly extendible construction principle involving steel tubes, connectors and metal panels. In order to allow the constructed units to function as the user requires, a range of accessories is available: including the USM Metal Box Insert for USM Haller Extension Door.
