The Artek A330S Golden Bell pendant lamp was designed in 1936 by Aino and Alvar Aalto as part of a commission to design the interior of the Savoy Restaurant in Helsinki. A one piece, moulded brass lamp the A330S Golden Bell is made and distributed by the Finnish furniture company Artek, and thanks to its unique shape and understated luminescence has enjoyed great popularity since its launch in the late 1930s. Typical of the Aalto lights from this period is the perforated ring at the bottom of the screen, a delicate detail that is both decorative and aids the light distribution.
