With the Baguette Outdoor the Italian manufacturer Magis delivers a high-profile, delicate dining table, which is thanks to a table top in either quartzite or Italian slate and table legs made of die-cast aluminium perfectly suited for outdoor use. Inspiration for the designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec was not the French white bread, but the original meaning of the word Baguette, which means "stick" or "rod".

Design Story

With the Baguette Outdoor the Italian manufacturer Magis offers a dining table, which is so slim, delicate and graceful that at first glance it appears to float: on closer inspection however one realises that the Magis Baguette Outdoor is stable enough to support a full buffet. With the Baguette Outdoor the designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec realised a dining table with a willowy table top crafted from Italian slate which rests on narrow table legs formed from die-cast aluminium - a material composition which makes the Magis table particularly suitable for use outdoors, yet doesn't exclude the Baguette Outdoor from indoor use, where its reduced form passes perfectly to contemporary interiors. Although one might think at first that the table's name relates to the French white bread, the inspiration is and was much more the original meaning of the word: Baguette literally translates as "stick" or "rod".
