The SSDr from TIPTOE is a challenge to all design manufacturers who still use newly manufactured plastics for their chairs: the seat and backrest are made entirely of recycled polypropylene. The chair is well thought through from its production to its disposal and on to its price . A classic in the making.

| Function & Properties | The SSDr is the result of a long creative process in which TIPTOE developed the successful SSD into a completely sustainable chair. As with its older brother the SSDr is designed to be as easy to use as possible: the chair, which consists of just five components, can be easily disassembled and reassembled as often as you like via a single screw; and r´thus can also be easily repaired. The materials used for the chair are also very easy to separate once the chair has reached its long lifespan. Particularly special with the SSDr, is that its seat and backrest are made entirely of recycled polypropylene, putting TIPTOE in direct competition with those manufacturers who use newly manufactured plastic for their furniture. |

| Care | For the recycled plastic seat and backrest cleaning with a damp sponge is sufficient. The steel legs are designed to last and do not require any special care. If necessary, they can be cleaned with a damp microfiber cloth. |
| Certificates & Sustainability | Sustainability is a core aspect of TIPTOE's design philosophy. In addition to the use of water-based paints, the materials used are also carefully selected and processed to create a long-lasting product with minimal impact on the environment. The wood comes exclusively from PEFC-certified cultivation (PEFC/07-31-60 certificate) in Europe, the fittings are made of steel., thereby allowing the individual materials to be cleanly separated and recycled again if necessary. Many of the materials that TIPTOE uses are already recycled, including the packaging which consists of at least 80% recycled paper. In addition, TIPTOE has been certified as a B Corporation since October 2022. This certification measures the company's positive impact in areas such as governance, employees, community, environment, and the company's products. TIPTOE achieved a score of 90.6 points in 2024, not only well above the general median of 50.9 points, but also above the threshold of 80 points required for certification.
