The String shelving system, designed by Kajsa and Nisse Strinning in 1949, is now supplemented by metal hooks. The Scandinavian shelving system is thereby more flexible than ever before: in combination with the String metal shelf, the string system hooks make a kitchen rack or a wardrobe from a simple string shelf, holding everything from an umbrella to a frying pan.
