Design Story
Designed by Susi and Ueli Berger in 1982, the Schubladenstapel is an established Röthlisberger classic. The decorative furniture resembles a pile of suitcase, and that from a time when travelling was still an absolute privilege. Each Schubladenstapel is in addition as individual as any suitcase, because the veneer in Santos rosewood or eucalyptus can be selected by the customer, which makes it possible to create a unique one-of-a-kind space in the living room or office. The Röthlisberger furniture is equipped with seven differently sized and offset arranged drawers, which offer plenty of space for various belongings. In combination with the diagonally extending veneer, the design expresses a particularly dynamic and noble character. The designers Susi and Ueli Berger worked with the Swiss manufacturer Röthlisberger for more than 30 years and realised many extraordinary designs together with the company. The Schubladenstapel represented their Meisterwerk.
