Sofie Refer

The Danish designer Sofie Refer was born in 1974 and graduated in 2003 from the Danish Design School. She is a partner and creative director at Refer + Staer Aps, a Danish contemporary lighting company whose creations mostly combine extravagance with Scandinavian simplicity. Sofie Refer has in addition established her reputation with the Mega Bulb pendant light for the label &tradition, a design for which she was awarded the prestigious Good Design Award in 2001 by the Athenaeum in Chicago.
