The Musikstapler is a configurable CD rack designed by Tom Fischer for the Bavarian furniture manufacturer Nils Holger Moormann. The base of the storage unit, which houses up to 60 CDs per level, is formed by a cast concrete pedestal on which the FU (birch plywood) shelves are arranged. The design features a rotating mechanism and a pivot pin made of aluminium, so that the user can rotate the entire shelf and pick out the required CD. The CD fixtures are crafted from spring steel and the whole construction is held together by a synthetic fibre tension cable. And as with so many Moormann products the Musikstapler is constructed tool-free via a plug-in system. Available with between three and ten levels Musikstapler adapts to the requirements of its user and can be extended as and when required. With its dynamism and flexibility the configurable Musikstapler from Nils Holger Moormann is the stylish and functional storage system for all music lovers, regardless of genre or age.
