Frank Rettenbacher
Although still very much at the start of his career, Frank Rettenbacher has developed a portfolio of designs with a distinctive character and keen sense of innovation. Following completion of his studies, the Bregenz born designer began his career by working with first Audi and subsequently Philips, and is now based in Amsterdam. Since 2012 Frank Rettenbacher has served as creative director at Phillips and among his many projects, the most futuristic is arguably the award-winning DesignLine TV. In addition to his work for Phillips, Frank Rettenbacher also realises elegant furniture designs, including the Emil side table for the Italian manufacturer Zanotta. For these Rettenbacher was inspired, among other things, by the steel wire bases of the Vitra Eames Chairs.
