Upon illumination the relatively conventionally shaped shade of the LC shutter lamp loses all familiar references and shines in a unique light. On account of slightly set back plastic shields the light escapes through narrow slits and illuminates the entire shade in a flattering light. In addition, Louise Campbell's hanging lamps radiates its light stream directly downwards which combined with the opal diffuser results in a soft, harmonious luminescence. With the Louis Poulsen LC Shutters, Louise Campbell has created a lamp which combines a balance of light distribution and glare control to allow a warming light which is both useful and decorative. Formally reminiscent of shop front shutters the light from the LC Shutters shines just behind the slits and evokes a sense of something hidden. In the LC Shutters multicoloured the shutters are coloured which gives the lamps a playful accent.

The Danish designer lamp manufacturer Louis Poulsen has produced the pendant lamp LC Shutters by Louise Campbell since 2012.
