Thomas Feichtner
The Austrian designer Thomas Feichtner was born in Brazil in 1975 and was raised in Linz where he studied industrial design at the Universität für künstlerische und industrielle Gestaltung, graduating in 2005, and is currently based in Vienna with his Studio Thomas Feichtner.
Feichtner is known for its innovative and aesthetically sophisticated designs that combine high-quality materials with a variety of manufacturing processes, meticulous attention to detail and original design solutions. From furniture and lighting to cutlery and jewellery, Thomas Feichtner's portfolio not only encompasses a wide range genres but has seen him cooperate with manufacturers such as Vitra, Thonet, Swarovski, Bene, Adidas or Lobmeyr.
Feichtner's works have been shown internationally in numerous renowned museums such as the MAK, Vienna and at trade fairs such as the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan, and has also received several international awards, including the coveted Red Dot Design Award and the iF Design Award. The modular workplace system Studio was created for the office furniture manufacturer Bene.
