Tage Klint & Klint design team
Tage Klint (1884-1953), son of the architect P.V. Jensen Klint, is regarded as the creative founding father of the traditional Danish company Le Klint. In 1943, he turned the Klint family folding workshop into an independent company, laying the foundations for the brand that still stands for hand-folded lampshades and timeless design today. The trained surveyor was not only technically minded, but also inventive: he developed the characteristic hook-in collar, with which the shade is elastically attached to the frame, and designed numerous lamps, including the iconic Model 1 from 1942 - a classic of Danish design.
Today, the Klint design team continues this tradition. The company's in-house development team works closely with external architects and designers and plays a key role in the further development of the collection. In addition to redesigning classic models, the team also creates its own designs, such as the Model 180 pendant series, the Model 375 table lamp and the Model 23 ceiling lights. The team's work combines a heritage of craftsmanship with a modern design language - entirely in keeping with Tage Klint's original vision.
