Nicolaj Mentze

Nikolaj Lorentz Mentze is a Danish designer and owner of Copenhagen based architecture and design studio Studio 0405. Founded in 2015, following Mentze's graduation from the Kolding School of Design, Studio 0405 specialises in projects which exist at the intersection of space and object.

In addition to product designs such as the battery-powered lamp Apollo Portable for Hay, Studio 0405 also creates interior designs for restaurants and retail, alongside exhibition and set designs. The history of design and its aesthetics and techniques are constantly being researched and tested in order to transform specific qualities into something new. Working on design projects for a variety of clients, Studio 0405 regularly collaborates with a wide variety of creatives such as artists, photographers and craftsfolks.
