Designer Philip Bro Ludvigsen proves time and again how true works of art can be created from simple shapes. Many of his designs are outside the box, different materials merge into one another and form a stylish contrast. Some of his furniture is reminiscent of Midcentury Design, such as the Mojito armchair with its cubic shape, leather seat and tubular steel legs. With components such as vegetable leather, Ludvigsen makes the leap into the modern age, in which sustainability should become the norm in terms of material composition and longevity. Philip Bro Ludvigsen is also creative with regard to outdoor concepts that include the integration of plants in architecture and design. His grass lounge chair Slope with its curved grass surface was part of the Cabinetmakers Outdoor fair at Designmuseum Danmark in 2017. Together with the Danish manufacturer Le Klint, a manufacturer known for its sustainable lampshades "Made in Odense", Ludvigsen has developed, amongst other projects, the lamp series Jazz, Viper and Soleil.
