The collaboration between designer Arne Jacobsen and manufacturer Fritz Hansen dates back to the 1930s; however both were only able to celebrate real success 20 years later, thanks to Jacobsen's Ant Chair, a work that enjoyed popular succeess but whose three-legged frame Fritz Hansen was not entirely satisfied with. This was followed by the Series 7 whose shape is based on that of the ant, but with four legs: and which quickly became a classic, made Arne Jacobsen famous as a designer and, with 5 million units sold to date, became the manufacturer's most successful product. The concept is as simple as it is original: the same seat shell made of moulded wood veneer is combined with different bases, meaning that the Series 7 product range, from bar stools to office chairs, offers a wide range of uses. The Series 7 children's chair is probably the only one in the entire series whose seat shell differs from the classic, but only because of its size. Apart from that, the children's chair is exactly like its big sibling, the Series 7 chair, which now proves its diverse uses through serving the smallest members of your family.
