Julien de Smedt is one of the most internationally successful designers and architects of his generation. His interdisciplinary studio with a focus on design and furniture is represented in Brussels, Copenhagen, and Shanghai and currently realises projects worldwide for companies, governments, and private customers. Only accepting selected commissions that allow him to give his full attention to the respective project and to guarantee top quality: projects such as the Stavanger concert hall, for which de Smedt was awarded the Golden Lion at the Venice Biennial at the age of 29, as well as the Stacked shelving system for Muuto.
