Jørgen Bækmark
Jørgen Bækmark
Jørgen Bækmark was a member of the FDB Møbler furniture collective, which was directed by Børge Mogensen, during the 1950s and which devoted itself to producing functional, affordable furniture. In this context, Bækmark designed numerous pieces of furniture that are characterized by their simplicity and elegance, and thus meet high aesthetic standards and were accessible to a wide audience. One such object is the J104 Chair, which was reissued in 2011 alongside many other FDB furniture by Hay and is part of the so-called J collection. This collection includes many more chairs designed by the collective's designers, reminiscent of classic Windsor chairs.
