Design studio Big-Game

The design studio Big-Game was founded in Switzerland in 2004 by Augustin Scott de Martinville, Grégoire Jeanmonod and Elric Petit and is based in Lausanne. With a team of around five to seven people, the studio develops products and accessories for international brands such as Alessi, Hay, Karimoku, Muji, Lexon and Muuto Big-Game's work is characterised by a clear creative self-image: simplicity, functionality and optimism take centre stage.

Their designs are characterised by accessibility, charm and a high utility value and are deliberately conceived as physical, everyday products. This attitude is also reflected in contemporary products such as the Relate side table from Muuto, which impresses with its minimalist design language, or the Cable Bagel from Pedestal, which offers a simple and functional solution for cable management.

The studio has received numerous international awards, including the Swiss Design Award, iF Design Award and Wallpaper Design Award. Works by Big-Game are also represented in important collections, such as the Museum of Design, the Centre Georges Pompidou and the MoMA.

In addition to their design practice, the three founders are also professors at the ECAL / University of Art and Design Lausanne. Their approach to design is strongly characterised by an appreciation of Scandinavian design, particularly its balance between functionality and warmth. Big-Game sees its work as a contemporary contribution to this tradition - interpreted from an independent, Swiss perspective.
