Nendo
In Japanese Nendo means "modelling with clay" and stands for the playful yet very rational approach the design studio pursues in the development and realisation of its projects. According to the architect, Oki Sato, who founded the design studio in Tokyo in 2003, Nendo is always concerned with providing something special and a brief escape from everyday life. This approach is not only applied to a wide variety of product designs, such as the Louis Poulsen NJP lamp, but also to household goods concepts and architecture. Nendo is one of the most sought-after design studios in the world, winner of numerous awards and is represented in all important museum collections. In addition to Louis Poulsen the studio have undertaken projects for manufacturers as varied as Foscarini, Kartell, Boffi or Driade.
