Marc Sadler
Marc Sadler graduated in 1968 from the industrial design department at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, Paris, and subsequently co-founded Design Center Premier, the first group of associated designers in France. Initially working with clients in the fashion industry, designing perfume designs for Dior, Pierre Cardin, and Yves Saint Laurent, Sadler later moved on to collaborations with the sporting goods manufacturers, including the development of the first completely recyclable plastic ski boot for Caber and ultimately a whole collection of the world's best-selling ski boots. Sadler has also developed furniture, household appliances, and lamps and has been awarded the prestigious Compasso d'Oro four times. His motorcycle back protector for Daisene is part of the MoMA collection and the lamp Mite, produced by Foscarini, is included in the collection of the Centre Pompidou in Paris. A French citizen born in Austria, Sadler now lives in Milan.
