HALLE-LEIPZIG AIRPORT
USM Airport
BRIEF
The particular challenge was the long-term care of the client and the mix of areas included in the project. From the high-quality executive office space to the more robust furnishings of the 24 hour passenger handling systems, a wide range of solutions were required. Our high quality of expertise in consulting, engineering and installation formed the basis of the eight-year collaboration.
REALISATION
The cooperation between smow and Leipzig-Halle Airport began in 2009 with the expansion of the passenger area in Terminal B. Then, as today, the Vitra seat system Airline by Sir Norman Foster is used. From 2010 onwards smow developed a counter program based on the modular furniture construction system of USM Haller from Switzerland, in cooperation with Halle-Leipzig GmbH. Since then, counters for mobile check-in, boarding pass control and gate boarding counters have been implemented.
